The whole world is going through a difficult time, never experienced before in history. I look out the window and see empty streets, parks with no dogs and no children, no people walking or cycling.
Here in Italy we are now at the sixtieth day of quarantine and after an initial period of emotional down, it's time to start taking care of yourself again.
Although online shopping is a highly debated topic, I have chosen to start shopping online again due to the inability to go out. My first quarantine purchase was all beauty-themed.
Being indoors all day without applying makeup has changed incredibly the state of my skin, but not always for the better.
I normally have a combination of dry and sensitive skin. Currently it feels very dry, with low elasticity. Some rednesses came out stronger that usual, as well as some imperfections probably due to a bad diet that I'm correcting. Without makeup on, I also noticed how my pores are visible.
So here are my 5 DAILY SKINSCARE STEPS:

  1. ORIGINS DEEP PORE CLEANSER: I only started using this cleanser a few days ago but I'm already starting to see an effect on pore reduction. It also has a very delicate minty scent that has a relaxing effect on me, which is why I prefer to use it in the evening rather than in the morning.
  2. ERBORIAN BAMBOO MATTE LOTION: this lotion rich in Bamboo extracts (a natural moisturizer) helps to reduce excess sebum and tighten pores. After using it on a soaked cotton, the skin always feels particularly velvety.
  3. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE AGE PREVENTION SUPERFOOD EYE CREAM: since I've been in my 30s for at least a couple of years, start using an eye cream was necessary. I admit that I'm not always committed in this step (maybe I don't like to admit that I'm getting older), but when I use it I actually realize how much my eye contour area benefits in terms of hydration and elasticity.
  4. CAUDALIE VINOSOURCE MOISTURAZING SORBET: how have I never used a product of Caudalie before? I admit I was tempted by Matilda's wonderful videos and packaging (I'm still a marketing girl), but so far this moisturizer hasn't disappointed me. It actually leaves your skin as smooth, clean and hydrated as it promises.
  5. FRESH ROSE FLORAL TONER: the final step is new to me. I was tempted by the arrival of Fresh in Italy (thanks Sephora!) and I bought this toner as the final step of my skincare routine: how to finish in a moisturized, fresh and fragrant way!

I hope this 5 steps will help someone to start taking care of themselves again.
